On her latest contribution to IRISES, the Bulletin of The American Iris Society, Australian hybridizer Heather Pryor writes candidly about her work on creating the ultimate orange Louisiana Iris (LA). She calls her work, "Heather’s ‘orange brick road of hybridizing endeavors’."

Her dedication to detail is evident and admirable, as is her use of descriptive language: "It has similar coloration to a zucchini or pumpkin flower; not quite yellow and not quite orange."
